Rumor has it the great Teddy Bear caper is close to being solved, and it ain’t what our award-winning journalist hoped it was.

Allegedly one of Trenton’s many mentally challenged homeless characters has a penchant for hanging things up throughout the city. Last week it was traffic cones, this week stuffed animals. (I wonder what it will be next week? Hopefully it isn't pumpkins, because we all know what that will mean. )

Yep, apparently a homeless person, and not a racist Trenton firefighter with an ulterior motive of intimidating Trenton’s first African American fire director, is responsible. Go figure.

I hope Larry is able to track down his supposed firefighter source who stated, “I guess this could have something to do with Lenny Carmichael being named acting director of the fire department,” and get his reaction now. Or perhaps this source is a figment of Larry’s demented imagination, therefore "finding him" won't be any effort at all and attributing a quote to him will be easy as pie.

Hey Larry, why not stick to writing about whacking little white balls and leaving the the news to real journalists? Or is that asking too much because of an insatiable desire to get onto your maligned soapbox so overpowering you can't control yourself?

Why not use less emotion and more sense?

There should be a press conference held by the Fire Union. They should endorse Mack's decision regarding the Director and express indignation at the Trentonian report.

They should hold UP the front page to the TV cameras and they should release the truth. At all times they have to remain PROFESSIONAL.

Let the Trentonian try to ignore the story while the Phila TV news, NJN, WZBN, Trenton Times and other media are there.

ASK for an apology. Ask for a Front Page retraction by the Trentonian.
The irresponsible reported besmirched the TFD on the front page.
